Questions we’ll answer:

What are the key roles, concepts and terminology involved in data in business?

How do you evaluate trends and patterns in data that are worthy of further exploration?

How do you critically analyze data against business hypotheses?

What to expect:

Data is the lifeblood of every modern business. Business leaders need to be able to analyze it critically and understand the roles, concepts, and terminology involved. If you are nervous or inexperienced when it comes to using data, this beginner-level session will give you an accessible and practical introduction. If you're already working with data, it may be a useful refresher before you jump into our other related Jolts. In this session, you'll discover a simple, 3-step-framework for analyzing business data. You'll learn how to identify trends and gaps in data, explore ways to collect missing data, and work out how to interpret it to get meaningful answers.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

The Jolt was great as an introductory. I had never worked in a data driven environment, and Alan really taught us well, everything was clear and simple including the case study.

Alan is a gifted lecturer, the content was very well structured and organized in a continuous manner. It was clearly visible that Alan is expert in the field and enabled smooth and easy access and understanding to all of us students who didn’t had much familiarity on the topic. Very well done!!!
